Newrest a leader in Inflight Catering is looking for General Workers to join our Food Production department. This individual will be responsible for preparing and setting up the airline trays with the appropriate sandwiches, fruits, salads, etc. This person may also be involved with slicing and cutting fruits, vegetables, and other foods. If you show capability and leadership ability, there are many opportunities to move up within the company. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working in a kitchen in some capacity with food.
Shifts:
- 6:00am - 2:30pm
- 12:00pm - 8:30pm

Responsibilities:
- Preparing cold dishes, salads, sandwiches, and desserts.
- Responsible for making sure that all the dishes are prepared according to the recipes and standards set by Newrest.
- Proper handling techniques to ensure that the food is fresh, safe, and of high quality.
- Perform proper food packaging and storing based on safety requirements and customer’s instructions.
- Follow all process control documentation.
- Employees must wash their hands. Every time that returns to the production department. And/or at least every hour.
- Report any unsanitary practices and/or unsafe conditions.
- Follow all food safety, health and safety, company rules and standards.
- Must work stand during their shift.
- Regular and timely attendance is expected for the position.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel. The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is also required to frequently inspect the manufacturing floor and will be exposed to noise levels that may range from moderate to loud.
