Mission

Newrest is looking for an HR Coordinator/Recruiter to coordinate and conduct the organization’s recruiting efforts. Candidates should be familiar with the following areas: high volume recruiting and onboarding, new hire orientation, employee/labor relations, wage, and salary administration.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with hiring managers to determine job requirements and draft job descriptions
  • Post open jobs using Applicant Tracking System and job boards
  • Review and source resumes that meet job requirements and conduct phone interviews to assess applicant qualification
  • Coordinate onsite interviews for management team
  • Track candidate activity; provide communication and updates on positions and selected candidates to hiring managers
  • Draft and extend offer letters
  • Coordinate and track screening process of background checks, drug tests, and physicals
  • Train managers on new hire on-boarding process
  • Keep up to date on company policies and procedures
  • Provide administrative support to the department as needed, attendance trackers, newsletters and other duties as assigned.

Profile

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or GED required
  • Associate's degree plus 3 years progressive recruiting experience for light industrial, administrative, technical and professional positions, or other equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of state and federal laws governing human resources and recruiting practice
  • Proficiency in computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint a must.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking systems/Talent Management software; experience a big plus
  • Must have strong organization skills and the ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Strong drive for results with the ability to operate successfully in a team based environment
  • Ability to establish priorities, manage deadlines, exercise a high degree of professionalism in interactions with all levels of internal and external contacts
  • Please note this position may entail a flexible schedule based on operational needs.
