Newrest Travel Retail Amsterdam is seeking a motivated and experienced Procurement Manager to lead and oversee the purchasing and supply chain functions for the buy on board program of notable airlines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality goods and services at competitive prices. You will work closely with our operations, finance, and quality teams to support the business’s growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining product quality and delivery standards.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and resolve any issues that arise to ensure continuity of supply.
- Cost Control: Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality. Monitor market trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with vendors to ensure favourable terms that meet Newrest’s business objectives.
- Compliance: Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
- Reporting & Analysis: Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement, and provide regular reports to senior management on savings, supplier performance, and procurement initiatives.
Profil
What is Newrest searching for:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the catering or hospitality industry.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and cost-control strategies.
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and leadership skills. - Fluency in English and Dutch (this is a must)
- Living in the Netherlands.
