Newrest IAH is looking for a technically skilled candidate with good problem-solving ability for the position of IT Technician. This is an on-site position that will support the organization at the user level, responding to user needs in a timely manner and ensuring the optimal running of all hardware and systems, to reach the organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with our outsourced vendor to maintain security (MFA, Antivirus, APEX micro trend, and firewall).
• Manage IT asset management (Computers, TV, Tablets & Printers),
• Partner with our IT support to install equipment on the Domain (Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and networks).
• Maintain internal email directory.
• Ability to work in a small team environment and communicate effectively.
• Partner with our IT support to support and troubleshoot any hardware and software issues (Internet, Server).
• Assist with the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the IT industry.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
• Experience as an IT Specialist or similar role.
• Proficient in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Certifications in Network+, Security+, SSCP, Ethical Hacker are preferred.
• Familiarity with network protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule depending on operational needs.
