Required Responsibilities

·                      Load carts and trolleys with trays, dishes, utensils, and containers.

·                      Collect serving trays and dispose of plates in trays.

·                      When loading trays into the trolleys, ensure they are placed appropriately within the rack frame.

·                      Complete the defined packaging schedule as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

·                      Proper food packaging and storage are performed based on safety requirements and customer instructions.

·                      Tag every rack and trolley according to the company’s standards and processes.

·                      Ensure that left-over ingredients and packaging material are appropriately labeled and returned in the dry storage, cooler, or packaging material storage.

·                      Follow all process control documentation.

·                      Bring trays and packaging material from the dishwasher area.

·                      Employees must wash their hands. They return to the production department every time and at least every hour.

·                      Report any unsanitary practices and unsafe conditions.

·                      Make sure trolleys are correctly identified, secured, and moved away from chemicals and hazardous substances.

·                      Follow all food safety, health and safety, company rules and standards.

·                      Regular and timely attendance is expected for the position.

·                      Other job duties may be assigned based on operational need

 

Education/Experience Requirements

 

·          High School Diploma required.

·          Must be comfortable working in a cold environment.

·          Must be able to stand for long periods.

·          Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.

·          Good work ethic and communication

·          Good knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.

The role of the General Worker – TSU at Newrest is physically demanding. You must stand, walk, talk, listen regularly, and use your hands to handle or feel. You must also lift, push, and move up to 50 pounds. The work environment will be in a Kitchen, with temperatures ranging from room temperature to very cold and noise levels varying from moderate to very loud.
