Missão
The Ramp Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing 70+ individuals per shift. This individual will ensure that orders are completed in a timely and quality manner by our drivers. It will be required for the candidate from time to time to be working alongside drivers and other positions within the department and not necessarily be at their desk. The ideal candidate would be flexible in availability to work either a day shift or evening shift, based on business needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Supervisory and Management
· Oversee and support Ramp operations, ensuring communication between the Unit (Dispatch) and the Ramp team (Ramp leads, SOC and drivers).
· Constant communication with Ramp Leads, drivers, and bank agents.
· Ensure Safety procedures are followed and on time performance on the Ramp.
· Conduct ramp audits and Gemba walk.
· In case of any safety incident, must immediately inform Safety and senior leadership, gathering preliminary information.
· Ensure SOPs are followed, and new process changes are being implemented correctly.
· Handle any safety related matters for the drivers and Ramp Leads (SOC).
· Handle day-to-day performance failures from the drivers (ie safety procedures, complaints from FA, not following GMP’s, behavioral issues, live ramp details communication, etc.).
· Proactively identify potential flights at risk (access blocked, truck issues, etc.), communicate about it, and follow up until the issue is resolved.
· Prepare the Galley vehicle with possible call back items (Full galley equipment, including coffee pots, cups, water, ice, etc.).
· Make the decision to cater a flight at risk using the Galley truck.
· Ensure that Bank vehicles are loaded with additional call back supplies (FA/FO meals, extra meals, snack boxes, YC snacks, EQ kits, etc.).
· Follow up on any catering equipment callbacks for flights.
· Follow up on disciplinary action for drivers, galley truck, banks, ramp leads, and helpers.
· Ensure compliance with all applicable requirements related to product and service quality, environmental standards, food safety, and health and safety regulations.
· Promote a safe and healthy work environment by preventing work-related injuries and illnesses, eliminating hazards, and reducing health and safety risks.
· Compliance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)/General manufacturing practices (GMP) guidelines for personal hygiene and observe security precautions as mandated by unit management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Perfil
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
· High school diploma/General Education Degree (GED).
· Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
· Must clear a fingerprint-based criminal history check.
· Valid driver’s license and current driving abstract, if required.
· Able to pass security identification display area (SIDA Badge) including CBP clearance.
· Basic math skills
· Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Strong leadership experience with experience in start-up or turnaround environments
· Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines
· Strong communication skills with ability to communicate with non-exempt to upper management levels
· Good understanding of logistics and fleet procedures
· Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and operational processes
· Good knowledge of HACCP & food safety standards
· Aptitude in showing self-initiative and follow-through
· Detail-oriented and ability to see high picture
· Ability to work any shift depending on business needs
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
The temperature of the environment may fluctuate drastically from very cold to very warm temperatures. The noise level may range from moderate to very loud.
