In this role, you’ll be responsible for moving product in the warehouse to its appropriate location. You’ll play a key role in maintaining inventory integrity, supporting production teams, and ensuring all materials are properly stored and ready for use in a dynamic, team-driven environment.

What You’ll Do
- Move product around from the dock area to the appropriate storage areas
- Follow proper storage procedures to maintain product integrity and compliance standards
- Report hazards, safety concerns, or unsafe conditions to the Receiving Lead or Commissary Manager
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient receiving, storage, and dock area
- Support inventory accuracy through proper stock rotation (FIFO)
- Demonstrate reliability through consistent, regular, and punctual attendance
- Maintain cleanliness of shipping areas, loading docks, and trash areas
- Complete daily quality control logs accurately and on time
- Track and document spoiled or damaged inventory using loss logs
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure proper stock levels and material availability
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and inspected per procedures
- Adhere to all shipping, receiving, and regulatory compliance procedures
- Assist in other operational areas as needed to support business needs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Perfil
What You Bring
- Previous experience in supply, purchasing, receiving, or inventory required
- Experience operating forklifts preferred; current forklift certification a plus
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Basic math skills with the ability to count accurately
- Ability to understand and work with documents such as purchase orders, bills of lading, and shipping documents
- Ability to work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to support multiple areas within the department as needed
- Understanding of how individual performance impacts upstream and downstream operations
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors and team members

The role of a Receiving Clerk at Newrest is physically demanding. You must stand, walk, talk, and hear regularly and use your hands to handle or feel. You must also lift, push, and move up to 50 pounds. The work environment will be in an open warehouse that contains refrigerated areas, with temperatures ranging from very cold to very hot and noise levels varying from moderate to very loud.
