About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Dispatcher to join our operations team at Newrest. Dispatchers play a vital role in coordinating daily flight catering operations, assigning driver routes, monitoring real-time progress, and communicating any aircraft or gate changes to keep everything running smoothly. Dispatchers serve as the communication bridge between drivers, ramp supervisors, and airline partners to ensure all flights are serviced accurately and on schedule. If you’re organized, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this role is key to keeping flights on schedule and our airline partners satisfied.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities listed are a high-level overview of expectations; additional tasks may be assigned as necessary based on operational needs.

• Coordinate and monitor the timely and efficient catering of flights according to daily flight schedules.
• Create driver team sheets that outline flight assignments, ensuring routes are planned with adequate time for completion.
• Track drivers in real time using dispatch software to confirm on-time performance and address any route or timing issues.
• Communicate proactively with Drivers, Ramp Supervisors, Control Center, and airline crews (e.g., United) regarding delays, callbacks, or last-minute updates.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and maintain eligibility for a SIDA badge.
• Foster effective teamwork and communication to support smooth ground-to-air operations.
• All other duties as assigned per business needs

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Previous dispatch experience required (aviation, transportation, or logistics background preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Strong communication and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to analyze schedules and manage time-sensitive tasks with accuracy.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid SIDA badge.
• Flexible schedule availability including weekends and holidays, based on operational needs.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in logistics or dispatch operations preferred.
• Successful completion of all required airline and company training. 
• Maintain satisfactory attendance will be required.
