Required Responsibilities
Supervisory and Management
· Under the supervision of the Supply Manager, this individual supervises and manages the employees' work during the shift.
· Ensure all policies and procedures are followed per Newrest and client’s requirements.
· Communicate effectively with all crew members and team members.
· Hold team members accountable for all expectations.
· Assist the Supply Manager with any coaching and corrective actions.
· Assist with approving and handling questions regarding timecards and pay.
· Other job duties may be assigned based on operational needs.
Operations
· Provide solutions to problems during transportation, unloading, offloading, or any other process.
· Enforce safety processes and legal requirements for transportation and other processes.
· Assist in the sourcing and procurement of food, beverages, and related catering items for onboard service.
· Work with approved suppliers and catering partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
· Support menu and product rollouts by ensuring availability and specification compliance of required items.
· Place orders with suppliers in the computer system
· Lead the team in conducting inventories.
· Train and mentor new employees
· Analyze food cost trends, negotiate pricing, and help optimize the catering budget.
· Complete traceability documents (e.g., exposure time sheet)
· Contribute to sustainability initiatives, such as reducing food waste and sourcing environmentally responsible products.
· Maintain accurate records of orders, contracts, and food specifications.
· Coordinate cleaning, washing, and sanitation of premises by standards.
· Regular and timely attendance is expected for the position.
· Other job duties may be assigned based on operational needs.
Education/Experience Requirements
· At least five years of experience leading/supervising in a distribution environment. (Supply or receiving preferred)
· At least five years of experience in procurement/ large format purchasing (hospital, cruise ship, hotel, or stadium experience preferred)
· Warehouse/Logistics experience
· ADP/Excel Proficiency
· SAP/WMS Familiarity preferred.
· Food Handling experience
· Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
· Good communication skills
· Good knowledge of HACCP & food safety standards
· Aptitude in showing self-initiative and follow-through.
· Detail-oriented and ability to see the big picture.
· Must be able to work in varying temperatures, especially in freezing temperatures.
· Have a clear understanding of documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders.
· Good knowledge of HACCP regulations.
· Ability to work fast-paced.
· Ability to show flexibility in working in various areas of the department.
· Ability to know how one’s performance affects the areas before and after you.

The role of the Assistant Supply Manager at Newrest is physically demanding. You must stand, walk, talk, listen regularly, and use your hands to handle or feel. You must also lift, push, and move up to 50 pounds. The work environment can be either on the dock or in cold storage areas, with temperatures ranging from very hot to very cold and noise levels varying from moderate to very loud.
