Required Responsibilities 

Supervisory and Management 

Supervise and manage all employees in all department areas, including dispatchers, drivers, helpers, supervisors, admin staff, and general workers. 

Motivate and inspire team members to perform above expectations through proper recognition methods and programs. 

Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed per Newrest MLC and client’s requirements 

Communicate effectively with all crew members and team members 

Hold team members accountable for all expectations 

Other job duties may be assigned based on operational need 

 

Operations/Logistics 

Ensure compliance with all government regulatory agencies' standards (for example, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA), the Department of Transportation (DOT), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), etc.). 

Investigate and complete incidents/accidents documentation 

Observe service operations, ensure all ramp safety, AOA safety, security rules, and regulations are followed, and report any violations 

Provide solutions to problems that occur during the transportation, unloading, offloading, or any other process 

Enforce safety processes and legal requirements for transportation and other processes 

Organize regular audits on the runway and set up corrective action plans as appropriate 

Perform maintenance on the fleets and follow up to ensure proper safety maintenance 

Other job duties may be assigned based on operational need 

 

Quality and Safety 

Ensure that all processes conform to the customer and Newrest MLC specifications 

Comply at all times with good hygiene and manufacturing practices (e.g., hazard analysis and critical control points [HACCP], FIFO) 

Carry out cleaning, washing, and sanitation of premises following cleaning plan. 

Investigate and complete incidents/accidents documentation. 

Enforce safety processes and legal requirements for transportation and other processes. 

Organize regular audits on the runway and set up corrective action plans as appropriate. 

Perform maintenance on the fleets and follow up to ensure proper safety maintenance. 

Other job duties may be assigned based on operational need 

 

Administrative Task 

Interview and determine the individuals to join your department 

Approve time off requests and other leaves of absence 

Perform performance reviews for all department team members 

Approve all timecards and resolve timecard discrepancies 

Mentor and coach team members and provide corrective actions as required 

Regular and timely attendance is expected for the position.

Education/Experience Requirements 

 

A bachelor’s degree in operations, logistics, business management, or a related field is strongly preferred. 

A minimum of 5-10 years experience in inflight catering, an airport hub environment, manufacturing, logistics, or the food industry managing 100+ non-exempt level employees. 

Strong leadership experience with experience in start-up or turnaround environments 

Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines. 

Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with non-exempt employees at upper management levels. 

Strong understanding of logistics and fleet procedures 

Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and operational processes 

Good knowledge of HACCP & food safety standards 

Aptitude in showing self-initiative and follow-through 

Detail-oriented and ability to see high picture
