Your role:

  • We are looking for a Transportation Manager Junior.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee all transportation operations, including plane loading, delivery, ramp operations, and coordination with airport authorities.
  • Manage team scheduling to ensure optimal service for clients and efficient use of company resources.
  • Monitor and analyze delivery schedules to optimize routes.
  • Ensure service and cost targets are met; develop and implement recommendations as needed.
  • Participate in staff management at all levels, including hiring, training, discipline, promotions, work assignments, and monitoring hours.
  • Oversee the entire transportation process, including inventory tracking and fleet management.
  • Ensure compliance with company rules, labor legislation, and all applicable legal requirements.
  • Prepare and implement procedures for maintaining cleanliness of vehicles, docks, and workstations.
  • Work closely with the Quality Manager to control alerts and food safety issues.
  • Perform daily checks on equipment and premises maintenance.
  • Manage departmental performance through operational KPIs (e.g., punctuality, accidents, incidents) and share planned actions for expected improvements to meet Group standards.
  • Provide Root cause analysis report in case of delay
  • Investigate and provide corrective actions to crew reports
  • Ensure proper implementation of Group tools (Flicare, Timeblock; Fraactal; Etc.)
  • Implement measures to achieve the primary goal of on-time delivery as determined by customers.
  • Conduct physical audits on the ramp as required for operations purposes.
  • Arrange and optimize schedules based on daily aircraft movements.
  • Maintain close follow-up and effective communication with company customers.
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates of passenger loads and services provided to clients.
  • Support dispatch, drivers, duty managers, dock managers, and flight checkers and flight supervisors; cover shifts or find solutions as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide proper reporting to the Operations Director and Unit Manager.
  • Plan, optimize, and follow up on preventive and curative maintenance of the assigned fleet.
  • Monitor and optimize fuel consumption for the assigned fleet.
  • Ensure all employees comply with company rules and policies and adhering to uniforms
  • Oversee the proper use of equipment and vehicles.
  • Enforce and monitor adherence to truck safety rules and traffic laws.
  • Enforce safety rules regarding the unit building, equipment, and workstations.

Profil

  • Engineering, Logistic, Transportation schools 
  • English, German is a plus
