Newrest a leader in Inflight Catering has an exciting opportunity available for a Cafeteria Attendant. This position maintains organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment. Supports employees of Newrest with cafeteria needs. Set up, maintain, and break down the food lines and assist with serving scheduled meals to employees, courteously and efficiently. Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the workstations, dining areas, and equipment.
Shift: 12:00pm - 8:30pm

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Operations
- Under the supervision of the Cafeteria Supervisor, the Cafeteria Attendants perform duties to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the cafeteria area.
- Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed per Newrest and the client’s requirements.
- Communicate effectively with all crew members and team members.
- Be held accountable for all expectations.
- Continuously monitor food standards, workflow and activities, and quality of product
- Ensure cleanliness of the cafeteria and serving areas
- Regular and timely attendance is expected for the position.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Weekend availability
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma required.
- Prior experience working in food service. (preferred)
- Kitchen: 3 years (Required)
- Ability to be flexible, courteous, and dependable.
- Strong communication skills
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel. The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is also required to frequently inspect the manufacturing floor and will be exposed to noise levels that may range from moderate to loud.
