GENERAL JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE

The Assistant Purchasing and Supply Manager supports the Purchasing & Supply Manager in ensuring that the Company’s purchasing policies and requirements are adhered to daily. This includes forecasting demand for products and services to meet the Unit's operational needs and maintaining regular checks on stock levels. The Assistant will also generate Purchase Orders (POS). Additionally, the Assistant helps the Purchasing Manager ensure timely, effective performance across all sections of the purchasing and supply department. This is achieved through the development and implementation of defined operational plans, procedures, controls, and personnel management. The role requires versatility, innovation, and creativity in establishing safe working processes that comply with customer requirements. It is essential to uphold the Company's values, standards, and norms while ensuring strict adherence to all necessary QHSE and HACCP/CCP procedures to guarantee food safety. The Assistant Purchasing and Supply Manager will act on behalf of the Purchasing Manager in the Purchasing Manager's absence. |

The Assistant Manager, Purchasing & Supply will assist the Manager in:
- Conduct research to identify the best products and suppliers based on value, delivery schedules, and quality.
- Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments, and customers.
- Ensure that purchase order receipts are completed within designated timeframes.
- Oversee the bidding process and make recommendations based on technical considerations.
- Ensure that suppliers understand the company’s business objectives, requirements, and specifications.
- Provide a professional and comprehensive inventory management system for the company.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in storage areas according to company procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Manage the Winrest System on a daily basis.
- Ensure optimal delivery services are upheld at all times.
- Monitor supplier security by overseeing maintenance reporting and following up with stores.
- Manage supplier claims, ensuring proper follow-up, corrective actions, and evidence collection.
