SUMMARY:
The Ramp Helper supports the safe, efficient, and on-time catering of aircraft while ensuring strict compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. This role works closely with Ramp Leads, Supervisors, and transportation teams to guide vehicles on the ramp, assist with flight catering operations, and respond to schedule changes such as delays or equipment swaps.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform Ramp Helper responsibilities as needed to ensure all flights are catered safely.
- Assist in on-time and accurate catering of all flights.
- Assist the Transportation Ramp Leads and Supervisors in ensuring compliance with all government regulatory agencies’ standards.
- Safely assist drivers by guiding them to aircraft and ensuring catering SOPs are followed.
- Assist teams with late flights and equipment changes.
- Be diligent, punctual, and reliable.
- Perform other duties assigned.
- Visibly wear NewRest uniform, including safety vest, work boots, and SIDA badge.
- Maintain proper compliance with general manufacturing practices.
- Communicate by radio to leads, supervisors and SOC for all items related to the job, including providing updates and issues on whereabouts.
- Drive a company vehicle while respecting ramp regulations.
- Observe the proper use of equipment.
- Follow all procedures for health, safety, and security.
- Properly utilize and comply with all related technology provided to complete daily functions.
- Follow all current and new procedures.
- Communicate with leadership if a safety risk is presented.
- Accommodate any job task requested by leadership.
- Understand and be aware of the rapidly changing work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable requirements related to product and service quality, environmental standards, food safety, and health and safety regulations.
- Promote a safe and healthy work environment by preventing work-related injuries and illnesses, eliminating hazards, and reducing health and safety risks.
- Compliance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)/General manufacturing practices (GMP) guidelines for personal hygiene and observe security precautions as mandated by unit management.
- Satisfactory and punctual attendance are expected.
- All other duties as assigned.
Perfil
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATION:
- High school diploma/General Education Degree (GED).
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must clear a fingerprint-based criminal history check.
- Valid driver’s license and current driving abstract, if required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Good knowledge of HACCP & food safety standards.
- Aptitude in showing self-initiative and follow-through
- Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends

cold to very warm temperatures. The
noise level may range from moderate to very loud.
