At Newrest, a global leader in both in-flight and retail catering, we’re looking for a hands-on Facility Maintenance Technician to support our Raleigh-Durham (RDU) operations. What You’ll Do
Perform daily maintenance and repairs to ensure the facility remains safe, clean, and fully operational
Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment and facility issues
Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers for repairs and projects
Perform basic carpentry, drywall, painting, and general repair work
Ensure equipment is functioning properly by removing obstacles and resetting systems as needed
Support and follow preventive maintenance programs
Maintain compliance with company policies and all local, state, and federal regulations
Assist in keeping the facility organized, neat, and in good repair
Perform additional duties as assigned based on operational needs
Perfil
What You Bring
3+ years of maintenance or facility experience (industrial or warehouse environment preferred)
Hands-on experience with carpentry, light plumbing, electrical work, and general repairs
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems (robotics/cobot experience is a plus)
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Valid driver’s license
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment

The role of the Facilities Maintenance Technician at Newrest is physically demanding. You must stand, walk, talk, listen regularly, and use your hands to handle or feel. You must also lift, push, and move up to 50 pounds. The work environment will be in an open warehouse that contains refrigerated areas, with temperatures ranging from very cold to very hot and noise levels varying from moderate to very loud.
