Acts as the administrative backbone of a maintenance department, ensuring operations run smoothly by managing the documentation, logistics, and data that keep technicians on the floor.
Core Responsibilities
- Work Order Management: Creating, tracking, and closing out maintenance work orders in Fracttal which is a Maintenance and Parts Management System.
- Inventory & Purchasing: Monitoring stock levels of parts and tools, obtaining vendor quotes, and placing orders to ensure supplies are available when needed.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate logs for preventive maintenance, equipment warranties, and safety compliance documentation.
- Vendor & Communication Support: Coordinating with external contractors, answering phone inquiries, and acting as a liaison between maintenance staff and other departments.
- Data & Reporting: Compiling reports on maintenance costs, equipment downtime, and team productivity for management review.
- Administrative Duties: Handling departmental timekeeping, processing invoices, and performing general office tasks like filing and mail distribution.
- Food Safety Compliance: Adhering to all food safety standards required by Newrest and it’s customers. This includes proper personal hygiene, protective attire to prevent contamination such as hairnets and masks, maintaining clean tools and cleaning up upon completing tasks.
Perfil
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: A high school diploma or GED is the standard requirement.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word) and familiarity with maintenance-specific software.
- Organizational Skills: High attention to detail is critical for managing complex parts inventories and schedules.
- Experience: Many employers prefer 1–3 years of clerical experience, ideally in an industrial or maintenance setting.
- Security clearance: Must be able to obtain the security badge to access the SIDA(Security Information Display Area) of the airport.
Work Environment
• Mix of Office and Plant Floor: While primarily office-based, the role often involves visiting storage areas to check inventory or conducting site audits.
• Physical Demands: Occasional lifting (often up to 25–50 lbs) for handling shipments or organizing supplies is common.
