Required Responsibilities
Supervisory and Management
· Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the Cafeteria Supervisor supervises and manages the employees' work during the shift.
· Ensure all policies and procedures are followed per Newrest and client’s requirements.
· Communicate effectively with all crew members and team members.
· Hold team members accountable for all expectations.
· Assist with any coaching and corrective actions.
· Assist with approving and handling questions regarding timecards and pay.
· Other job duties may be assigned based on operational need
Operations
· Assist with menu planning.
· Continuously monitor food standards, workflow activities, and quality of product.
· Ensure cleanliness of cafeteria and serving areas.
· Regular and timely attendance is expected for the position

Education/Experience Requirements
· High School Diploma required.
· At least two years of experience working in a supervisor-type role, preferably in a food/production Kitchen environment
· Strong leadership experience with experience in start-up or turnaround environments
· Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with non-exempt to upper management level.
· Good knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.

The role of the Cafeteria Supervisor at Newrest is physically demanding. You must stand, walk, talk, and hear regularly and use your hands to handle or feel. You must also lift, push, and move up to 50 pounds. The work environment can be in an industrial Refrigerator or Cafeteria, with temperatures ranging from warm to very cold and noise levels varying from moderate to very loud.
