Your role:

  • We are looking for a Group Internal Tax Auditor
  • You will report to the Internal Audit Director

Key responsibilities:

As part of the Group Internal Audit Department, you will contribute to controlling the Group's tax risks at international level. You will perform tax audits remotely and/or on site within subsidiaries, identify risk areas, define corrective action plans and support their implementation. You will also contribute to sharing tax best practices and continuously improving the Group's processes and systems.

Performing international tax audits

  • Map and assess the tax risks of subsidiaries.
  • Perform structured tax reviews in accordance with the Group Internal Audit methodology.
  • Review compliance with key tax processes.
  • Identify gaps, quantify risks and formulate recommendations.
  • Monitor action plans through to completion.
Reviewing the main tax risks across the Group's subsidiaries
  • Withholding taxes (WHT): correct application of rates, compliance with tax treaties, and obtaining and retaining the required supporting documentation.
  • Reverse charge VAT and self-assessment mechanisms.
  • Compliance with tax filing deadlines.
  • VAT processes.
  • Review of taxable income.
  • Consistency analysis of tax proofs.
  • Review of local tax specificities.
Supporting subsidiaries
  • Contribute to upskilling local finance teams.
  • Deliver training sessions and thematic workshops.
  • Lead tax self-assessment campaigns.
  • Share lessons learned and key risks identified.
Improving processes and systems
  • Identify automation opportunities.
  • Contribute to improving tax settings in ERPs.
  • Support projects related to VAT, withholding taxes and filing obligations.
  • Promote Group tax standards.
Knowledge sharing and Group reporting
  • Analyse historical tax reassessments.
  • Ensure consolidated monitoring of tax audits and penalties.
  • Verify the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Contribute to formalising the Group tax doctrine on complex matters or topics subject to interpretation.

Profile

  • Higher education degree in finance, accounting, audit or taxation.

  • 3 to 5 years' experience in an audit firm, tax advisory firm or internal audit function.
  • Good knowledge of international corporate taxation and international VAT principles.
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Rigour, autonomy and critical thinking.
  • Professional English is mandatory; Spanish would be an advantage.
  • Interest in international and multicultural environments.
