Newrest, a leading specialist in out-of-home catering, is looking for an Accounting Clerk (m/f/x) to strengthen its Finance team.

Reporting to the Deputy CFO Netherlands and the CFO Benelux, you will support the day-to-day accounting activities for Newrest entities in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Record accounting entries (purchases, sales, bank transactions and journal entries).
• Process, verify and file supplier invoices and prepare customer invoices.
• Manage payments, reimbursements, reminders and bank reconciliations.
• Monitor customer and supplier accounts (matching, follow-up and discrepancy management).
• Prepare VAT returns under the supervision of the Deputy CFO.
• Participate in monthly, interim and annual closing activities.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and internal and external audits.
• Update accounting reports and ensure proper document archiving.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial information.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and accounting entries.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with CEGID, Winrest, or another accounting ERP system is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
