Mission

We are looking for a Data Manager to own and develop the data, reporting, and business intelligence landscape across our Scandinavian operations, designing the data architecture, building the pipelines, governing master data, and ensuring the business operates on reliable, consistent, and well-structured information.

This role combines data management, reporting, analytics, and business partnering. You will ensure that critical business data is reliable, accessible, and transformed into actionable insights that support decision-making across Commercial, Procurement, Operations, Finance, HR, and Leadership teams.

You will design and build the data infrastructure: defining the right stack for our needs, developing pipelines and integrations between business systems, establishing the master data and governance frameworks, and shaping how data flows across the organisation.

The primary focus is Scandinavia (Denmark, Sweden, Norway), but you will also contribute to group-level data initiatives and support other Newrest entities internationally when cross-country alignment, expertise, or project support is required.

You are responsible for:

Data architecture & pipelines

• Design and build the data architecture : assess current systems, recommend the appropriate stack, and implement it.

• Develop and maintain data pipelines and integrations between ERP, operational, and reporting systems — from ingestion to                        transformation to consumption.

• Build and evolve the data model supporting commercial and operational reporting, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.

• Automate recurring data flows and eliminate manual workarounds across business processes.

• Establish technical documentation, version control, and engineering best practices for the data environment.

Master data & governance

• Own and manage master data across business systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established standards.

• Define and maintain KPI, Pax prognosis, Flight Program and reporting methodologies.

• Monitor data integrity and proactively resolve discrepancies. • Maintain documentation, standards, and best practices across reporting         and data environments.

Business Insights

• Analyse operational, commercial, productivity, labour, food cost and cost performance to identify trends, gaps, risks, and opportunities.

• Conduct root cause analysis and translate findings into recommendations and action plans.

• Support management decision-making through forecasting, scenario analysis, and business modelling.

• Challenge assumptions and proactively identify opportunities through data.

• Present findings and recommendations in a concise and impactful way to business stakeholders.

Analytics & business partnering

• Partner with commercial and operational leadership to translate business questions into data solutions and actionable insight.

• Conduct analysis on commercial performance, operational efficiency, and cost drivers, surfacing structural findings that support decision-     making.

• Govern the reporting environment: oversee the Power BI landscape, define KPI consistency standards, and ensure stakeholders operate       from a single source of truth.

• Coach and guide internal users on data standards, reporting tools, and self-service analytics.

Projects & cross-functional scope

• Lead the data workstream in our ERP

• Contribute to group-level data initiatives and support other Newrest entities on cross-country topics when needed.

• Identify structural weaknesses in data flows and drive corrective actions in coordination with system and process owners.

Profile

•  Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related                  technical field. Equivalent senior-level practical experience will also be considered.

•  5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, data architecture, BI engineering, data management or a similar technical                  role, with demonstrated end-to-end ownership of data solutions.

•  Proven ability to design and build data pipelines from scratch: ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and loading into reporting or            analytical layers.

•  Expert-level Excel skills (mandatory), including: – Advanced formulas and dynamic arrays – Power Query and data transformation –            Pivot Tables and advanced reporting models – Dashboard creation and automation – Data modelling and reconciliation – Large dataset        management – VBA, Office Scripts, or equivalent automation techniques – Ability to create robust reporting tools from scratch.

•  Experience integrating and consolidating data from ERP and enterprise systems.

•  Exposure to analytical or scripting languages such as Python, DAX, Power Query M, or similar is considered an advantage.

•  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business questions into data solutions.

•  Experience working in a multi-entity, international environment is an advantage.

•  Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken, as English is the primary working language across our Scandinavian
