Required Responsibilities

·                      Supervise and check that all food production requirements are fulfilled.

·                      Ensure the correct number of meals for each flight are ready, packed, and assigned correctly according to all customer specifications & and client instructions booklets.

·                      Check aircraft trolleys and meals to ensure all adhere to Newrest's high-quality standards.

·                      Develop and improve the HACCP Plans, SSOP compliance, and audit preparation as needed. This position has the authority to hold a product that does not conform to customer agreements, finished product specifications, or legal requirements.

·                       Assist in implementing, maintaining, evaluating, enforcing, and updating USDA regulatory, Corporate Guidelines and QC Programs.

·                       Interface with Production Supervisors and hourly employees on production, food safety, and quality procedures

·                       Responsible for training and professional development of QC Staff

·                       Maintain Quality Reporting

·                       Departmental Administrative Duties (i.e., Timecards, employee paperwork, safety audits)

·                       Provide Training for production, sanitation, maintenance, and quality control groups. Training includes but is not limited to product quality standards, GMPs, Food Safety Issues, and HACCP.

·                      Other job duties may be assigned based on operational need 

Profile

Education/Experience Requirements

·          High School Diploma required.

·          Minimum of 2 years of experience in Food Processing and or Quality Management

·          Ability to read, write, and speak in English.

·          Good knowledge of HACCP (training will be provided otherwise)

·          Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.

·          Ability to work mornings, evenings, and weekends (depending on assigned shift)

·           Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

·          Attention to detail.

·          Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·          Ability to stand for long periods & to work in cold rooms for extended periods (below 50°F - 10°C)

·          Attendance, diligence, punctuality, reliability

The role of Fridge/QC Supervisor at Newrest is physically demanding. You must stand, walk, talk, and hear regularly and use your hands to handle or feel. You must also lift, push, and move up to 50 pounds.  The work environment can be outdoors, with temperatures ranging from very cold to hot and noise levels varying from moderate to very loud. You may also be required to walk on high heights and uneven surfaces above ground near vehicles.
