Shifts:                         Rotating Nine and half hour Shifts, 5 on 3 off

Hours:                         Various start times, you must be able to work all shifts on rotation

Start Times:                 Between 3.00 am and 10.00 am and finish between 12.30 pm and 19.30

Rate:                           £18.19 per hour

Overtime:                    1.2 of hourly rate, after the completion of 173 hours each month

Profile

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Driving high-loader and catering vehicles airside.
  2. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the vehicle and loading areas.
  3. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues immediately.
  4. Comply with Food Safety and Hygiene protocols.
  5. Loading, unloading as per the galley plans and delivering catering to aircraft safely and on time.
  6. Ensure vehicle is security checked and sealed by an authorised staff member before departure with completed specified documentation.
  7. Drive HGV2 (Class 2) trucks to transport catering trolleys, meals, beverages, and equipment to aircraft stands or airport terminals.
  8. Coordinating with flight crews and operations teams.
  9. Working to strict aviation safety and security procedures.

 

Essential Skills

  • Valid UK HGV Category C (Class 2) licence.
  • Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
  • Digital Tachograph card.
  • A team player who can effectively manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality.
  • Physically fit and capable of working at heights, indoor fridge temperatures around 5 degrees, all outdoor weather conditions and fast-paced environments.
  • Lift and/or push up to 25kg.
  • Must be flexible to work shifts as operations run seven days a week requirement (including evenings and public holidays), you will be required to extend shifts depending on airside operational requirements.
