Newrest Belgium, the airline catering subsidiary of the Newrest Group, is currently looking for a Graduate Program – Deputy QHSSE Manager to join the QHSSE Department at our Brussels (BRU) unit.

Your Mission

Reporting to and supported by the QHSSE Manager, you will contribute to the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Newrest Belgium's Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (QHSSE) management system.

As part of this Graduate Program, you will:

• Support the deployment and continuous improvement of the QHSSE management system, including HACCP, Quality Management, Food Safety, Environmental Management, and CSR initiatives.
• Conduct operational audits, quality inspections, and monitor corrective and preventive action plans.
• Assist in the preparation of customer, regulatory, and certification audits while ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and contribute to continuous improvement projects.
• Support operational teams in implementing QHSSE standards and deliver awareness and training sessions.
• Participate in the digitalization of QHSSE processes and document management.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Human Resources, and Customer Service on cross-functional projects.
• Contribute to risk assessments, incident investigations, and the implementation of preventive measures.
• Support the development and monitoring of environmental and sustainability initiatives.
• Gradually develop your project management, leadership, and people management skills with the objective of progressing into the role of Deputy QHSSE Manager. 
  

Profil recherché

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in one of the following fields:
  • Quality Management
  • Food Safety
  • Food Science
  • Microbiology
  • Bioengineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • HSE / Environmental Management
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of professional experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, motivated, and eager to learn.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with operational teams.
• Fluent in French; English is mandatory, and Dutch is considered a strong asset.
• Good command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Power BI is an advantage.
