Mission

Warehouse Receiver / Stocker

SUMMARY:

This individual unloads merchandise from incoming freight and moves it to the appropriate location in the production and storage areas. This individual ensures all items received are done so with strict adherence to our quality standards. This individual will operate warehouse equipment such as a forklift or electric pallet jack in the safest manor.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

· The receiver/storer's primary responsibility is to ensure that all incoming deliveries are received and put away correctly and completely each day.

· Accurately complete all quality control procedures and documents as part of the receiving process.

· Complete all receiving documentation.

· Record and report any discrepancies with shipments to supply office.

· Regular and timely attendance is a requirement for this position.

· Perform all duties in the safest manor possible.

· Report potential hazards and unsafe work conditions to team lead, lead hand, or manager.

 

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:

· Perform regular counts of stored materials.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping/loading dock, warehouse and trash areas.

· Complete the loss log for tracking spoiled, or damaged inventory.

· Work closely with the production department to ensure proper stock and inventory of needed materials.

· Ensure all equipment is maintained and inspected according to operating procedures.

· Adhere to shipping policies/procedures and regulatory compliance procedures.

· At times assist and work in other areas as needed.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

· No experience required, but any experience in supplying, purchasing, receiving, or inventory is a plus.

· This is an entry level position and training for all functions can be provided.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must be able to speak, read, and write in English

· Must be able to count.

· Be able to understand documents, such as purchase orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders.

· Must be willing to work weekends.

· Ability to work fast-paced

· Ability to show flexibility in working in various areas of the department.

· Ability to understand how one's performance affects those in areas before and after one's own.

· Ability to lift 40 lbs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to a fluctuating temperature environment, including freezing temperatures. The individual is regularly required to stand, lift, bend over, walk, talk and/or hear. The employee may also regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. The noise level may range from moderate to loud.
