Ready to put your career into motion?
Newrest (located close to Copenhagen Airport) is looking for a motivated Graduate to join our Transport Department for a one-year development journey designed to accelerate your career from the loading dock to strategic operations.
This is your chance to step into the driver’s seat of an international transport environment and build skills, network, and experience needed to navigate the fast lane of modern logistics.
We are currently approx. 70 drivers, who deliver catering services to SAS in the Airport.
What will you be doing.
During the program, you will rotate through key areas our transport operation and gain hands-on experience with:
· Transport planning and daily operations
· Carrier and supplier coordination
· Route optimization between the units and the Airport
· Delivery Performance
· Communication between relevant internal and external stakeholders
· Planning of shifts, vacation, compensation for sickness etc.
· Process improvement and operational efficiency
· Recruitment of drivers
· Data analysis and KPI reporting and follow up
· Planning of the maintenance and repair of equipment in collaboration with the duty managers
· Participating in, together with the department manager and deputy department manager in the daily management duties.
· Management training.
· Participating in the day-to-day hands on operation of the Transportation Department.
As a part of the program, you will experience what the other departments are doing by visits and short stays. And who knows, you might get the opportunity to work together with one of our skilled colleagues in Production to learn how our high-quality catering services are being made and arranged.
In other words, you will work closely with experienced colleagues who will help keep your professional journey on track while giving you room to steer your own development.
Profile
What we are looking for.

· Recently graduated from a Business College, University or Business School in areas like Logistics, SCM, Business, Engineering etc.
· Are analytical, structured and eager to learn
· Thrive in a dynamic environment where no two days follow the same route.
· Flexible and ready to change priorities according to needs in the environment
· Ability to handle more tasks at a time
· Communicate confidently in Danish and/or English verbally and in writing.
· Enjoy collaboration and building strong relationships
· Have a proactive mindset and curiosity to explore new directions.
